Making a Difference: PW IB Club Donates to hurricane relief efforts

Students in the Plymouth Whitemarsh High School International Baccalaureate Club helped fill two semi-trucks and two box trucks with supplies for Hurricane Helene victims earlier this month.

Though they faced a time crunch to get the items to Bergey’s Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Souderton, IB Club President Aubrey Choi communicated with the students in her club and together, they were able to bring the supplies together over the course of one weekend.

The club collected non-perishable food, diapers, wipes, over-the-counter medications, first aid supplies, water, and personal hygiene items to assist those recovering from hurricane damage.

“It was a last-minute project for IB club, but we were able to help contribute to two semi trucks and two 26’ box trucks full of supplies,” said Aubrey. “They are going to Tennessee to be distributed to communities in need.”
