Prospective volunteers reminded to submit their application/clearances
Do you plan on volunteering in our schools this year? If so, we hope you will take a moment to make sure your clearances are up-to-date. Clearances must be renewed every five years in compliance with Pennsylvania law.
If you can't remember whether or not they are still valid, contact your child's school and they can look up the information for you. If your clearances are still valid, there is nothing else you need to do - they do not need to be submitted every year so long as they are not expired.
If you have never volunteered in our schools before, we ask all volunteers to complete the following application and checks online to be eligible:
- Volunteer Application
- Child Abuse History Clearance
- PA State Police Criminal Background Check
- FBI Background Check*
*Please note that if you've been a Pennsylvania resident for ten consecutive years prior to the date of your volunteer application, you may sign a waiver in lieu of obtaining the FBI Background Check. This waiver is included as part of the application packet. If you require an FBI Background Check, please use code 1KG6XN and choose "Digital Fingerprinting" as the service when registering on the IdentoGO website.
