Alums with minds for design return to Plymouth Whitemarsh High School for Engineering Forum

Plymouth Whitemarsh High School alumni who now have engineering careers returned to speak with students as part of a forum organized by teacher Jim Muscarella and the Society of Women Engineers (SWE).
The speakers included:
- Mary Beth Biddle, Project Engineering Manager for Lockheed Martin, Class of 2008
- Angelina DiSanto, Aeronautical Engineer for Lockheed Martin, Class of 2017
- Isabella Schaffer, Mechanical Engineer for Worley, Class of 2020
- Sarah Fahmi, Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer for Boeing, Class of 2021
- Sachita Upadjya, Aerospace Engineering Major at Penn State, Class of 2025
Ms. Biddle delivered the evening’s keynote address by talking about what can be learned from the Artemis 2 mission. She stressed the importance of communication and teamwork, noting that the many teams of engineers and scientists who helped prepare for the mission relied on these skills to ensure that the pieces they were designing would come together as a whole.
Following her talk, the alums formed a panel to answer questions from those who attended the May 21st event. PW graduates who are currently in college studying engineering also returned for the event. They included Audrey Paluszka (Widener University), Lily Goldberg (Virginia Tech), Chloe Markus (Carnegie Mellon), and Chase Fisher (Clarkson University).
