Help Us Earn a Bench for a local farm!
Last year, our third-grade students did an amazing job collecting and recycling plastic through the Helping Hands program. Their efforts, along with those of the entire CE community, earned us a new bench for the front of our school.
Now, we are asking for your help once again. We have the opportunity to earn another bench for a local horse farm; Bopegan Farm in Fort Washington, PA. Our students have already collected 500 pounds of plastic, but we need an additional 500 pounds by March to reach our goal.
Please join us in this recycling effort! Drop off your plastic in the NexTrex-labeled bins located in the school lobby or hallways. Remember, we accept more than just plastic bags—recyclable items include:
- Pallet wrap and stretch film
- Grocery bags
- Bread bags
- Case overwrap
- Dry cleaning bags
- ZIPLOC and other resealable food storage bags
- Bubble wrap
- Air pillows
- Product wrap
Important: All plastic must be clean, dry, and free of food residue.
Thank you for your support in helping us make a difference!
